We were asked by one of our regular clients to create a pair of bespoke front doors for this 250 year old Country Mansion in Ascot Berkshire (former residence for the Duchess of Argyle). The new doors were to be of a more modern design finished in our standard white finish (RAL 9016). Both doors were constructed from A Grade laminated hardwood (Meranti). The new bespoke front door set benefits from a double glazed fan light with bespoke etching. Both doors have a Banham security package including L2000 Rim Deadbolt and M2002 Mortice Deadlock.
The original door was constructed without a bottom cill on the frame. In order to ensure that when in the closed position a proper seal is made, we utilised an acsoutic drop seal which is installed on the underside of both door leafs. The drop seal requires no power, and has been tested for reliability of over 1,000,000 cycles.
You can view a video of the seal in action on our YouTube channel by clicking on this link. Hardwood Door Drop Seal
